The next day, Sadik went to the mosque and didn't return until dawn. He entered Khadija's room, finding her asleep in a red nightgown, half of her thighs exposed. He approached her, placing his hand on her buttocks and gently caressing her. She woke up slowly, smiled at him, and he returned the smile, noticing her slightly swollen eyes. He asked why she hadn't slept, and she replied that she just couldn't sleep. He teased her, suggesting she missed him, and she laughed. When he tried to touch her more intimately, she reminded him that his other wife was in the next room. He left, annoyed by her words, and went to Balkisu's room, finding her also asleep. He then went to the living room, drank some water, took a bath, greeted his mother, and left the house.
When Balkisu woke up, she didn't see him and prepared breakfast for everyone. Khadija wore revealing clothes, prompting Balkisu to do the same, though it didn't suit her. Khadija laughed at her, and when Sadik returned, he also laughed and made her change.
Balkisu was troubled by a debt she had promised to repay but couldn't. She sat at her door, worried, when a woman came demanding her money back, reminding Balkisu of her promise and the urgency of her situation.
