Tafe take was calm, wearing a long sky blue hijab known as jalbab, her face covered with a perfect glass that highlighted her true skin tone, and a sky blue facemask that made her look very beautiful. She wore half-cover golden-colored shoes and a golden bag slung over her shoulder. Although she was not yet eighteen, her calmness made her look mature.
As she approached their street corner, she suddenly felt a strange tightness and frustration, not because of anything in particular, but due to the presence of some idle people in their area (the name she had given them). She tightened her beautiful face, adjusting her facemask, and gradually quickened her pace, determined to avoid the idle people.
"Zuhra, welcome back, hope you returned safely?" was the phrase that reached her ears.
Quickly, she turned, filled with warmth, and looked towards the source of the voice, smiling slightly as she said, "Hello, Baba, what are you doing?"
He responded warmly, blessing her, and she felt very pleased with the blessing he gave her.
With joy on her face, she reached the gate of their house, which was very beautiful and tall. She raised her hand to knock on the gate, and slowly it opened for her.
When she looked up, four eyes met hers, and her heart raced, causing her to quickly lower her head. He glanced at her once and then looked away, passing by her.
Behind him was their driver pulling a trolley bag towards a car parked in front of their house. Before Zuhra could turn, she heard the noise of the children from their house coming out. Maimoon rushed out, full of youth and excitement, saying, "Please, Yah Sauban, take me with you; I want to go to the Bodejo palace."
"No, Yah Sauban, don’t go with her; you should go because I missed Bodejo, and I have never been to the palace, but Maimoon can go."
A slight smile appeared on the face of the one they called Yah Sauban as he patted the head of a ten-year-old boy, his voice soft and gentle, saying, "Don’t worry, my friend, insha Allah, I won’t be long; I know you have a break from school, so insha Allah, when I return, I will go with you, okay?"
Filled with joy, the children jumped in excitement, while Zuhra stood still, not moving forward or backward. Slowly, she let out a deep sigh as she entered the house, heading directly to Mommy's apartment. She opened the door and greeted in a soft voice, which if someone wasn’t paying attention, they wouldn’t hear what she said. Mommy, who seemed ready to go out, held a fancy bag and said, "My Zuhra, welcome!"
Zuhra smiled, feeling tired, and said, "Mommy!" She spoke while leaning her head, "I’m really tired, Mommy, I’m exhausted from this jamb class."
Mommy walked away, saying, "Just go wash up and eat; I know what’s bothering you is just tiredness, so I know you’ll feel better after washing up," she said as she left the living room.
Zuhra sighed again as she headed up the stairs for the second time, entering Mommy's room and removing her hijab. Wow, Masha Allah, purity is evident from the Creator who made this creation. It turns out Zuhra's beauty is not just in her face but also in her character; may Allah bless her. Slowly, she removed her clothes, leaving only her white undies.
She prayed before entering the toilet and then stepped into the luxurious bathroom that was well-furnished everywhere.
Without wasting time, she came out of the toilet, quickly putting on English wear, a purple top and pants that complemented her figure. She didn’t apply lotion. She styled her hair neatly, wore slippers, took her handbag, and pulled out her iPhone 13 Pro Max as she stepped down from the stairs, glancing at the dining area where warmers were set with food.
She exited the living room and headed to another apartment on the right. With confidence, she reached the living room, but the sight of someone sitting on a one-seater made her feel cold. In a soft voice, she greeted, and slowly she approached, as if she were a fragile egg, reaching where an older woman, at least fifty years old, sat, wearing medical glasses with one leg crossed over the other.
On the other side, a laptop was on her lap, and as Zuhra approached, she greeted, "Ummi, welcome home!" without looking up from what she was doing, she replied, "Yes, welcome back."
In a soft voice, Zuhra, filled with surprise, said, "Yes."
She stood up and headed for the stairs, going straight to her room. Slowly, she sat on her expensive bed, letting out a strong sigh as she said, "Ummi, today was surprising; today she responded to my greeting without hesitation or doubt, but why?" Before she could answer herself, she pushed open the door to her bedroom.
Nihal and Laila were there, smiling just as they did. Nihal said, "Hey Zuhra, today you really stood out in that jamb class; what happened?" Laila added, "Since Yah Sauban returned, we’ve been asking about you, and they said you entered jamb class. They said you were planning to go to Danfodio; come, let’s all join at ABU."
Zuhra replied, "Hmm, Laila, you won’t understand; I really don’t like the stress. You know Yah Aseef lectures at ABU; honestly, he makes life difficult if I enter ABU. You know his character; he’s like a torturer, that’s why I prefer Danfodio over ABU, not for any other reason. Besides, everything he does, Ummi doesn’t see; you know that with Yah Aseef, he can ruin anyone’s mood, so that’s why I’m avoiding ABU, so you should be careful with him."
